We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar PV Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential and commercial applications.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installations based on structural integrity, available space, and other relevant factors.
- Perform inspections and alignments of solar panels, inverters, and other equipment to ensure highest operating efficiencies.
- Configure, program, and integrate PV system components, including mounting systems, electrical wiring, and monitoring devices.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to plan and execute solar projects accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with electrical service department to ensure proper connections and compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Perform testing, diagnosis, and repair of PV systems, including troubleshooting electrical and performance issues.
- Update and maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
- Train customers on the workings of their solar systems and answer any questions or concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in solar technology, attending relevant seminars, workshops, and certification programs.
Requirements:
- Relevant technical certifications or training in solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Proven experience as a Solar PV Technician, with a track record of successful installations and maintenance of solar systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical and photovoltaic systems principles and components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with solar PV software and monitoring systems.
- Willingness to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and in physically demanding environments.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Working Hours:
- This is a full-time position, typically working from Monday to Friday. However, occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate project schedules and deadlines.
